Privacy Policy
The short version: everything you enter into the eligibility checker runs in your browser. We do not have a server that receives, stores, or processes the estate value, date of death, or any other input you type.
Tool inputs
When you use the small estate affidavit checker, the values you enter (state, estate value, date of death, asset types, spouse/heir answers) are processed locally in your browser by a JavaScript rule engine. The result is computed on your device. No personal or estate data is transmitted to any server. Closing the tab discards all inputs.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (page views, tool opens, and aggregate step counts). Analytics is configured with IP anonymization. We do not send the estate value, date of death, state selection, or any identifying information to analytics. Only anonymous event counts (for example, that an eligibility check was completed and the resulting verdict category) may be recorded. Analytics may set cookies; you can block them via your browser or a content blocker.
Advertising
This site displays ads via Google AdSense (auto ads only — no manual ad slots). Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings. In the European Economic Area and UK, ad storage is denied by default until you consent.
